In 2015, Club Care Insurance’s touring caravan insurance policy was awarded 5 Stars by Defaqto for the fourth year running, reflecting the high quality insurance you will receive from your Club Care policy.
While everyone knows that being awarded 5 stars is a good thing, what isn’t always clear is what these stars actually mean for you, the insurance customer.
The table below shows how our Touring Caravan Insurance achieved the 5 Star rating from Defaqto and how this affects your policy.
|Feature of the insurance policy||Criteria as defined by Defaqto to be awarded a rating||What you get from a Club Care policy|
|New for old cover||Your policy may include cover which replaces your caravan with a new one of the same make and specification if it is stolen and not recovered, damaged and considered a ‘total loss’, or the cost of repair is above a certain percentage of the recommended retail price. Typically, this cover is provided for caravans under 5 years old.||This policy replaces a caravan with a new one of the same make and specification if it is lost or stolen and not recovered, typically for caravans under 5 years old. Most policies will tend to limit cover to a certain number of days at a time.||Club Care’s flexible Insurance policies allow customers to purchase up to 365 days European cover a year. However if you are not going to Europe you can remove this aspect of the cover and save on your premium.|

I must commend all of your team on the way my claim was handled. Every person I have spoken to in relation to this has been understanding, empathetic and thoroughly competent and professional.
